Matthias Engelen

With more than 15 years of management experience under his belt, Matthias has been focusing on Information Security for the last decade. As Senior Director he was responsible for Irdeto's ISO27001 certification as well as their Managed Security Services and Security Operations (incl. Smart  Card production). Prior to his time at Irdeto, Matthias worked in Product & Project management and Customer Operations at TomTom, Handspring and Iomega. He has worked across the globe and managed teams in the U.S., Europe and China.

Matthias has an executive MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) as well as a certified ISO27005 Risk Manager. Other certifications include Project Management, Business Continuity and Six Sigma.

Engelen Security Consulting is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, but operates across mainland Europe as well as the UK and Ireland.
